Facility management is basically an interdisciplinary field which employs versatile individuals who are knowledgeable about multiple aspects related to the management of different types of facilities. This individual has to have information right from the hardware to the electrical connections. In addition, he has to possess good communication skills. He also has to know how to maintain good relations with the customers in order to get more and more out of the relation. Although, before some years only 'hard skills' were necessary for the profession, nowadays, 'soft skills' are also as important.
