The legal secretary is the person without whom a lawyer cannot function efficiently. He acts as a screen between the lawyer and the mischief makers, such as irksome clients, who constantly want to know the status of their case. The secretary keeps such people at bay by screening their calls, personal visits, and sends in only those who are really important for the matter at hand.
