An information architect designs and develops the manner in which the structure of a computer system operates. This includes the manner in which the information is classified and how terminology and navigation operates in the system. Typical creations of an information architect include site maps, page templates, content matrices and annotated page layouts. Candidates need to have a BA or BS in computer science, visual / graphic arts, fine arts, library and information sciences and other related fields. Fundamentals of website design and interface designs should be strong along with experience, good leadership and communication skills.
