A network architect designs all the aspects of a communication network to convert business requirements into technical networks. This includes design of the framework of the physical components of the network, their configuration and functional organization; data formats, procedures and principles involved in operation. For telecommunication networks, architects provide description of products and services delivered by the network along with the structure of billing. A bachelor's degree in computer science or related disciplines with certifications in technologies like Cisco CCIE, Juniper JCIE, layer 2 technologies, cloud services etc. is needed. Strategic thinking and good communication is essential.
